MetalTech Systems has modernized the existing Material Recovery Facility in the City of North Augusta, Aiken County for both single stream and MSW waste. The modernization includes a MetalTech Systems Automatic Bag Opening System and Ballistic Separator.
The Automatic Bag Opening System is designed to efficiently and safely liberate material from bagged waste, without damage to the recyclable materials.
The Ballistic Separator targets efficient separation of fiber and film products from rigid containers in the waste stream. The Ballistic Separator is a lower operating and capital cost alternative to traditional disc screen technology.
The City of North Augusta Material Recycling Facility currently processes commingled material through residential curbside recycling, commercial business recycling and event recycling. The upgrade to this facility will allow North Augusta to separate material with greater efficiency. MetalTech Systems markets, manufactures, and installs recycling systems and equipment throughout North America.
