The Alum-A-Filter provides continuous automatic metal filtration in many non-ferrous casting operations. The machine provides this filtration by indexing a continuous belt of mesh fabric between a molten metal receiving basin and a direct pouring basin. Molten metal is poured into the pouring basin, flows through the filtering screen, and into the receiving basin. Once out if the receiving basin, the metal flows directly into the shot tube of a die casting machine or pouring basin of a permanent mold machine. The process can even be customized for automatic green sand or no-bake molding operations with fixed sprue position pouring. This process effectively removes a high percentage of slag, dross, and other defect causing impurities.

Sand grain segregation has been the subject of countless technical articles, research papers, video presentations, and discussion forums among foundrymen. It is the primary cause of problems, and the leading source of inconsistencies in the sand casting process. These inconsistencies can result in defects, as well as the additional expense of high resin consumption.
The Palmer B-Series Batch Mixers are specifically designed with the foundry sand user in mind. The integration of foundry toughness and simplicity of design makes these mixers the hardest working, longest lasting batch mixers on the market. With capacities from 100 to 1000 pounds per batch, these machines can be sized to fit nearly any batch-mixing requirement. Mixing efficiency is developed through the use specialized, variable pitch mixing blade assembly, coupled with the use of a variable frequency drive (VFD), allowing the user to custom develop the best fit of intensity, speed, and time for their particular core material.

The Palmer Bulk Transfer System (BTS) draws on Palmer’s decades of pumping, metering and storage of a variety of difficult-to-handle-and-store chemicals, especially those associated with chemically bonded sand molding systems. Safety is a major concern at all times, but proper handling is especially critical with flammable solvent bearing chemicals.

The CAR-Series is Palmer's lowest cost Mechanical Sand Reclamation system. Built around a heavy duty attrition mill, the CAR is designed for simplicity of operation and years of trouble free service. While inexpensive, the CAR still delivers performance. This unit is ideal for small or infrequent reclaimed sand users. Capacities from 1 to 5 tons per hour.
